North American Dental Group is seeking an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant to join our Columbus practice. You will support clinicians with charting, fillings, operatory setup, and patient education, ensuring a smooth, compassionate patient experience.

Qualifications

• EFDA certification required or state-appropriate on-the-job training.
• Radiography licensure for the respective state requirements.
• 1–5 years of dental assisting experience preferred; new graduates considered.
• CPR certification is required.
• Proficient with MS Office Suite.
• Knowledge of dental charting software and digital X-rays; ability to learn new programs.

Responsabilités

• Assist doctors with charting, placement of fillings, operatory setup/cleanup, and patient education.
• Perform expanded duties per state regulations and compliance.
• Assist in procedures such as placing amalgam or composite fillings, temporary crowns, sutures, and fluoride treatments.
• Maintain patient health histories, make chart entries, and ensure forms and signatures in dental software.
• Enter and update patient treatment plans as directed.
