Job summary

The New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (NYC Health Department) is seeking an Investigative and Training professional to manage EEO investigations, process reasonable accommodation requests, and deliver training on EEO-related topics to agency staff. You will interview complainants and respondents, prepare comprehensive investigative reports, and apply EEO laws with neutrality and rigor.

Qualifications

• Minimum four-year high school diploma or equivalent with four years of relevant experience, or a bachelor's degree, or equivalent education/experience.
• Able to conduct investigations, prepare reports, and apply EEO laws and guidance.
• Strong writing, interviewing, and analytical abilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver training on EEO case law, statutes, regulations, and guidance.
• Conduct investigations into EEO discrimination complaints and interview involved parties.
• Prepare comprehensive investigative reports with findings and recommendations.
• Process reasonable accommodation requests in a timely and consistent manner.
• Provide guidance on accommodation requests and conduct legal research as needed.
