Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited neurophysiology technologist program or equivalent training experience.
  • One (1) year of clinical EEG experience at a hospital with outpatient and inpatient services.
  • BART or BLS at time of hire with commitment to obtain BART within six months of hire date.
  • Must be board certified in an appropriate function within two (2) years of hire date.

Responsibilities

  • Perform electroencephalographic studies related to EEG, EMG, or evoked potentials.
  • Take medical histories related to neurological diagnosis and prepare patients for EDX studies.
  • Apply electrodes, calibrate apparatus, and adjust testing parameters to ensure accurate recordings.
  • Interpret graphic output during tests and modify the test as needed.
  • Communicate with the technical director about daily operations and assist with program development.
