Job summary

  • Interpret graphic output during tests and modify the test as needed.
  • Communicate with the technical director about daily operations and assist with program development.

Under supervision incumbents perform the range of electroencephalographic studies as they relate to electroencephalography, electromyography, or evoked potential studies. This is a journey-level position. Responsibilities include taking medical histories as they relate to neurological diagnosis, preparing and positioning patients for EDX studies, applying suitable electrodes to predetermined measured positions, checking their performance, calibrating and adjusting apparatus, replacing faulty plug‑in components as needed, selecting electrode combinations to define focal abnormalities, interpreting graphic output during the test and modifying the test as needed, observing patients during tests and indicating all artifacts interfering with a true recording. Incumbents communicate with the technical director regarding daily operations, assist with program development as needed, and perform other related tasks as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Graduate of an accredited neurophysiology technologist program or equivalent training experience.
  • One (1) year of clinical EEG experience at a hospital with outpatient and inpatient services.
  • BART or BLS at time of hire with commitment to obtain BART within six months of hire date.
  • Must be board certified in an appropriate function within two (2) years of hire date.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Two (2) years of clinical EEG experience with outpatient and inpatient services.
SPECIAL CONDITIONS
  • Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.
  • Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre‑employment physical.

Annual Full Pay Range: $87,258 - $108,492 (Hourly Equivalent: $41.79 - $51.96)
