Job summary

Virtua is seeking a Neurology Technician to perform various EEG studies (Routine, Sleep Deprived, LTM EEG) across patient ages from adult to geriatric. You will also act as a super-user/system administrator for the digital EEG and monitoring systems at multiple New Jersey sites.

The role requires at least some clinical EEG experience and familiarity with ABRET pathways; training will cover system administration and data management for EEG monitoring.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year adult clinical experience preferred.
• Knowledge of digital EEG systems preferred; ABRET pathways considered.

Responsibilities

• Perform various encephalogram studies as ordered by a physician.
• Maintain and clip long-term EEG monitoring data to manage server space.
• Obtain patient history and document information in the digital EEG system; ensure orders and charges are correct.

Job Summary

The neurology technician is responsible for providing various electroencephalogram studies (Routine, Sleep Deprived, LTM EEG,) as ordered by a physician for patients from adult to geriatric age. In addition, this individual will act as a super-user/system administrator for the digital EEG system and long-term EEG monitoring systems.

Position Responsibilities

• Performs various types of encephalogram studies
• Maintains the digital EEG and long-term monitoring systems. Clips long-term monitoring studies to reduce required server space.
• Obtains patient history from medical record, documents information in digital EEG system. Ensures patient orders and charges are correct and appropriate.

Required Experience

• A minimum of one year adult experience is preferred must be in a clinical setting. Knowledge of digital EEG systems is preferred. ABRET pathways considered.

Required Education

• High school education, college education preferred. Graduate of accredited EEG program preferred. Must qualify for ABRET registry examination under at least ONE current ABRET pathway.

Training / Certification / Licensure

• BLS, board eligible via ABRET pathway, R.EEG. T Registry within two years of hire.

Hourly Rate: $28.63 - $44.54 The actual salary/rate will vary based on applicant's experience as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
