Virtua Health is seeking a Neurology Technologist to perform EEG studies for patients aged 18 and older, following physician orders. This role includes clinical oversight of non-registered EEG technicians and serving as a super-user for digital EEG systems and long-term monitoring.

The position requires on-site work with a part-time schedule, including one weekend per month. A background in neurology and EEG registries is preferred to ensure high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year neurology experience in a clinical setting
• Experience with Long Term Monitoring preferred
• Knowledge of digital EEG systems preferred

Summary:

The neurology technologist is responsible for providing various electroencephalogram studies (Routine , sleep deprived , LTM) as ordered by a physician for patients 18 Years to Geriatric

This individual will provide clinical oversight for non-registered technicians performing EEG procedures.

In addition, this individual will act as a super-user/system administrator for the digital EEG system and long-term EEG monitoring systems.

Work Schedule:

Cover staff as needed and one weekend per month.

Position Responsibilities:

• Performs various types of electroencephalogram studies.
• Obtains patient history from medical record, documents information in digital EEG system. Ensures patient orders and charges are correct and appropriate.
• Maintains the digital EEG and long-term monitoring systems. Clips long-term monitoring studies to reduce required server space.
• Provides clinical oversight for unregistered EEG technicians. Ensures and measures the clinical quality of EEG procedures performed.

Position Qualifications Required / Experience Required:

A minimum of one year adult and pediatric neurology experience preferred must be in a clinical setting. Experience in Long Term Monitoring and critical patient experience preferred.

Knowledge of digital EEG systems preferred.

Required Education:

High school education.

College education preferred.

Graduate of accredited EEG program.

EEG ABRET registry required within one year of employment.

Training/Certifications/Licensure:

BLS.

EEG registry required within one year of hire.

Hourly Rate: $28.63 - $44.54The actual salary/rate will vary based on applicant’s experience as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
