EEG Technologist I - Neurodiagnostic Lab - PRN Nights

Job Summary:

The EEG Technologist I performs basic electroencephalographic recordings under supervision. This role is responsible for preparing patients for procedures, documenting findings, and assisting senior technologists as needed. This entry-level position involves working under the supervision of senior technologists and physicians to ensure accurate and efficient testing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Apply electrodes according to the international 10–20 system.
  • Monitor EEG recordings and document technical observations.
  • Assist with patient preparation and education regarding procedures.
  • Maintain patient safety, comfort, and confidentiality.
  • Maintain clean and operational equipment following safety and infection control protocols.
  • Document procedure notes and complete required paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Follow department protocols and infection control policies.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Completion of or enrollment in an accredited EEG or Neurodiagnostic Technology program preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of EEG procedures and neuroanatomy.
  • CPR certification (BLS) required.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Desire to obtain ABRET R. EEG T. certification within 1-2 years.
