Job Summary

The EEG Technologist I performs basic electroencephalographic recordings under supervision. This role involves preparing patients for procedures, documenting findings, and assisting senior technologists as needed. It is an entry-level position working under supervision to ensure accurate and efficient testing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply electrodes according to the international 10–20 system.
  • Monitor EEG recordings and document technical observations.
  • Assist with patient preparation and education regarding procedures.
  • Maintain patient safety, comfort, and confidentiality.
  • Maintain equipment following safety and infection control protocols.
  • Document procedure notes and complete paperwork accurately and timely.
  • Follow department protocols and infection control policies.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Completion of or enrollment in an accredited EEG or Neurodiagnostic Technology program preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of EEG procedures and neuroanatomy.
  • CPR certification (BLS) required.

  • Desire to obtain ABRET R. EEG T. certification within 1-2 years.
