Job summary

AdventHealth in Altamonte Springs, FL seeks an EEG Technician to maintain patient care, operate EEG equipment, and ensure safety. The role emphasizes accuracy, punctuality, and collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.

You will document procedures, participate in meetings, and support quality initiatives. A high school diploma and BLS are required, with 1+ year neurodiagnostics preferred; pay ranges per hour and sign-on benefits apply.

Qualifications

• Knowledgeable and practiced in the 10-20 system of measurement.
• General knowledge of EEG procedures and equipment.
• Ability to observe EEG tracings and respond appropriately to abnormalities/seizure activity.
• Ability to recognize artifact and reapply or replace appropriate electrode(s).
• Ability to function independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Maintains supplies and equipment for patient care and ensures equipment is in good working condition.
• Performs basic troubleshooting and calls in service tickets when repairs are required.
• Prepares patients for testing using the 10-20 system and hookup.
• Ensures patient safety at all times.
• Documents and charges procedures to meet department standards.
• Supports quality improvement initiatives and participates in meetings.
• Collaborates with the multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality patient care.
