Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a Neurodiagnostic/Polysomnographic Technician to obtain standard and special EEG recordings and monitor related physiologic phenomena using appropriate techniques and equipment.

You will record data for routine and sleep EEG procedures, assist in intraoperative monitoring, and support residents, physicians and staff while maintaining equipment and the lab environment. A strong teamwork mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; vocational/technical training in Neurodiagnostic or Polysomnographic technology preferred.
• 0-1 years related work experience required.
• Advanced skills with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint or Access).

Responsibilities

• Record EEG data for routine, sleep, and special procedures; includes telemetry application and monitoring.
• Perform intraoperative monitoring and electrode placement/removal.
• Provide first aid for electrophysiological patients who have convulsions or related issues.
• Clean and maintain equipment; ensure lab cleanliness and data storage.
• Serve as a resource to residents, physicians and technicians.
