Job summary

Resurrection Medical Center in Chicago, IL, is hiring for an EEG Technician in the Electromyography department on a Per Diem schedule. You will perform EEGs, ambulatory EEGs, and sleep latency EEGs, recording brain activity to study epilepsy and localize lesions, while handling clerical duties and supporting CQI initiatives.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Completion of educational program for EEG technicians preferred.
• Current BCLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• 2 yrs experience as an EEG technician required
• Associate Degree in Electroneurodiagnostic technology preferred
• Certification from the American Board of Registered Electroencephalographic Technologies (ABRET) preferred

Responsibilities

• Performs EEGs, ambulatory EEGs, and multiple sleep latency EEGs.
• Records electrical activity of the brain to study epilepsy, convulsive disorders and localizing lesions.
• Performs clerical duties.
• Participates in performance improvement and CQI activities
