Cleveland Clinic Hillcrest Hospital in Mayfield Heights is seeking a Non-Registered EEG Technician to perform EEG examinations in a teaching hospital setting. You will gain hands-on experience from expert physicians and caregivers while supporting a stroke-certified unit and a dynamic Neurology department.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in Electroneurodiagnostics or related patient care field or two years of direct patient care experience.
• Completion of an EEG Technician Trainee Program.
• BLS certification through AHA or Red Cross.
• ABRET credentialing for an R. EEG T. within two years of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine electroencephalographic examinations.
• Select predetermined electrode montages and manage artifacts.
• Monitor additional variables such as EMG, ECG, EOG, and respiration.
• Observe patient with video recording equipment and ensure proper setup.
• Set up patient for continuous bedside monitoring with video when indicated.
• Instruct nursing staff on event button usage and video care.
• Abstract relevant information from clinical records and obtain supplemental data.
