Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Martin North Hospital is seeking an EEG Technician to perform routine and complex EEG examinations across laboratory, bedside, ICU, and OR settings. You will select electrode configurations, observe patients with video recording tools, and ensure precise alignment of EEG signals and tape.

The role requires an accredited EEG program or an Associate's Degree in electroneurodiagnostics, plus R.EEG.T and BLS certification, with at least one year of EEG experience.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited EEG program OR an Associate's Degree in Electroneurodiagnostics or related patient care field
• Registered EEG Technician (R.EEG.T)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through AHA or Red Cross
• One year experience as an EEG Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and complex EEG examinations in the laboratory, at the patients bedside, Intensive Care Units and operating room.
• Select predetermined electrode combinations and observe patient with video recording equipment.
• Ensure EEG and tape are lined up exactly.
• Check focus, lighting and microphone.
• Abstract relevant information from the patients clinical record and obtain additional information.
• Perform electroencephalographic examinations on patients.
• Schedule and organize special procedure tests, angiography, X-ray studies, etc.
• Serve as an instructor for new personnel.
• Provide training in the interpretation of EEG recordings, applications and the academics of EEG technology.
• Maintain equipment in clean operating condition and perform proper maintenance.
