Job summary

St. Christopher's Hospital for Children seeks a capable EEG Technician to support the EEG Lab under the Medical Director and Department Director.

You will perform technically accurate EEG tests and EEG/PSG studies across the clinical neuro-diagnostic lab and ICU settings, following physicians’ orders. The role requires graduation from an accredited EEG/PSG or RT Program and CAAHEP-endorsed END training, with 2 years of EEG/Polysomnographic experience or recent END program graduation.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited EEG/PSG or RT Technology Program (R.EEG T, RPSGT, RST or RRT).
  • Two years’ experience in electroencephalographic/Polysomnographic testing or graduation from a CAAHEP-accredited END program.
  • Completion of 10 SLEEP/EEG CEUs within 1 year of hire and annually thereafter.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • BLS Certification within hire timeframe.

Responsibilities

  • Perform technically and clinically accurate EEG and EEG/PSG tests as ordered by Physicians in the clinical Neuro-diagnostic lab and ICU settings.
  • Provide support to the EEG Lab as directed by the Department Director and Medical Director.
  • Report directly to the Department Director and Medical Director.
