Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health in Temple, Texas, is seeking a Neurodiagnostic Technologist I to perform test setup and electrode application under supervision, ensuring patient safety during procedures.

You will maintain equipment, troubleshoot and adapt instrumentation, while following infection control guidelines and preserving patient confidentiality. This is a weekend night role with on-call as assigned.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required.
• Less than 1 year of experience.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire or transfer.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patient and acquire data, ensuring a safe testing environment.
• Comply with policies and infection control; protect patient privacy.
• Observe proper body mechanics during duties.
• Adjust instrumentation for optimal results based on history and findings.
• Demonstrate knowledge of neuroanatomy, physiology, electronics, safety, and EEG basics.
• Respond appropriately in emergent situations.
• Maintain equipment and workspace to quality standards.
• Troubleshoot to maintain equipment operation.
• Report issues to management.
• Be available for on-call as assigned.
