Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Weston Hospital is offering an EEG Apprenticeship Program that exposes you to cutting-edge EEG technologist work and the brain's diagnostic procedures. You will train in electroencephalographic examinations and epilepsy monitoring, progressing toward a Registered EEG Technician role with strong career advancement options within the Cleveland Clinic system.

During the initial 90 days, you will work Monday–Friday 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with later opportunities to cover variable

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.
Six months of direct patient care experience OR one year of post-secondary education.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through AHA or Red Cross within one month of hire.
Knowledge of physical and biological sciences.

Responsibilities

Work Monday–Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM during the initial training period (first 90 days).
After training, be open to shifts: 7:00 AM–3:30 PM, 3:00 PM–11:30 PM, or 11:00 PM–7:30 AM, including weekends and holidays.
Support Epilepsy Center operations and assist with electroencephalographic examinations and epilepsy monitoring.
Apply electrodes at predetermined positions and select montages; calibrate and adjust equipment.
Observe patients with video and digital recording equipment; ensure EEG and tape alignment.
Check focus, lighting and microphones; obtain patient information from clinical records via questioning.
Apply respiration monitors and EKG.
