Job summary

Frye Regional Medical Center is seeking an Electroencephalogram Technologist (EEG) for full-time day shifts. The role involves performing EEG testing, data collection, and coordination with the care team in a 355-bed acute care facility.

We value teamwork, reliability, and patient-centered care in a supportive environment. Qualifications include ENED program graduation or equivalent EEG experience, and BLS certification; RDCS/ARDMS credentials are preferred.

  • Bachelor's degree preferred or graduation from ENED program; EEG experience may be required or preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Reviews existing clinical data, collects data and recommends additional pertinent data.
  • Evaluates data to determine appropriateness and medical necessity of the EEG test; selects and checks equipment and initiates the procedure.
  • Maintains patient records and communicates relevant information to the health care team; supports orientation and training of staff.
  • Promotes age-appropriate care to all patients.
  • Provides age-appropriate care to all patients.

Essential Functions:
  • Reviews existing clinical data, collects additional data and recommends obtaining additional pertinent data.

  • Evaluates all data to determine appropriateness and medical necessity of the test ordered.
    Selects, assembles and checks the equipment necessary to perform the diagnostic test
    Initiates, conducts and modifies the prescribed diagnostic procedure

  • Maintains patient records and communicates relevant information to members of the health care team Continue with self-development and assists Director with orientation and continuing education of trainees, medical staff, and other hospital employees.

  • Promotes age-appropriate care to all patients

Required Skills:

Education/ Licenses
  • Bachelor's Degree Preferred; Graduate of an approved Electroneurodiagnostic Program or AMA approved Respiratory Care Program or a minimum of two years of clinical experience performing EEG testing, preferred.

  • Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) by the American Registry of Diagnostic Sonographers (ARDMS) or Registered Cardiovascular Technologist by the National Board of Cardiovascular Technology preferred or one year experience.
    Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS)
