Qualifications

• 1 year of EEG Tech experience or equivalent preferred.

• Current BCLS (AHA) certificate or able to obtain on hire.
• Associate degree in ENDT preferred; ABRET certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for EEG procedures, review history, and ensure comfort.
• Apply electrodes using the 10-20 system and monitor signal quality.
• Conduct EEG recordings including routine and ICU monitoring.
• Identify and document abnormalities in brain activity.
• Assist during long-term or emergent neurological monitoring.
• Maintain and troubleshoot EEG equipment; collaborate with physicians.

We are seeking anEEG Technician (EEG Tech),sometimes referred to as anElectroencephalogram Technician,Neurodiagnostic Technicianor EEG Tech in ourElectrocardiologyDepartment. The EEG Tech willdiagnoseneurological conditions by preparing patients, conducting EEG tests, and monitoring brain activity. They work closely with physicians toidentifyabnormalities, ensure patient safety, and support critical care throughaccuratetesting and equipment maintenance.This position is on a per diem basis, meaning PD/PRNas needed.

Responsibilities

**To move forward in this position you must have at least 1 year of experience as an EEG Tech**

• Prepare patients for Electroencephalogram(EEG)procedures by explaining the process, taking medical history, and ensuring comfort
• Apply electrodes using the 10–20 system and monitor equipment foraccuratesignal capture
• Conduct EEG recordings including routine, sleep-deprived, ICU, and intraoperative monitoring
• Identifyand document abnormalities such as seizure activity or unusual brain wave patterns
• Assistduring long-term or emergency monitoring for neurological events or brain death evaluations
• Maintain and calibrate EEG equipment and troubleshoot any technical issuesCollaborate with physicians to support diagnoses of epilepsy, brain injuries, tumors, and othermedicalconditions
• Ensure patient safety bymonitoring duringprocedures and responding to seizures or emergencies

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Completion of educational program for EEG technicians preferred.
• Current BCLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• 2 yrs experience as an EEG technician preferred.
• Associate Degree in Electroneurodiagnostic technology from a school accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs preferred.
• Certification from the American Board of Registered Electroencephalographic Technologies (ABRET) preferred
