Job summary

Prime Healthcare's St Francis Hospital in Evanston, IL seeks an EEG Technician to perform EEGs, ambulatory EEGs and sleep-latency EEGs.

You will record brain activity to study epilepsy and localize lesions, while performing clerical duties and contributing to CQI initiatives. This is a Per Diem, day-shift role.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of EEG technician program preferred.
• BCLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintained.
• 2 years' experience as EEG technician preferred.
• Associate degree in ENDT preferred.
• ABRET certification preferred.

Overview

• Department:Electromyography

• Facility:Prime Healthcare St Francis Hospital
• Location:Evanston, IL 60201

Responsibilities

Performs EEGs, ambulatory EEGs, and multiple sleep latency EEGs. Responsible for recording electrical activity of the patient's brain to study epilepsy, convulsive disorders and localizing lesions in the cerebrum. Performs clerical duties. Participates in performance improvement and continuous quality (CQI) improvement activities.

Qualifications

• 1. High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• 2. Completion of educational program for EEG technicians preferred.
• 3. Current BCLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• 4. 2 yrs experience as an EEG technician preferred
• 5. Associate Degree in Electroneurodiagnostic technology from a school accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs preferred
• 6. Certification from the American Board of Registered Electroencephalographic Technologies (ABRET) preferred
