Prime Healthcare is seeking an EEG Technician (EEG Tech) for a per diem position at Providence Medical Center in Kansas City, KS. The EEG Tech will prepare patients, apply electrodes, perform EEG recordings, and monitor brain activity under physician supervision.

Qualifications

• 1 year of EEG Tech experience or equivalent preferred.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Current BCLS (AHA) certificate or able to obtain on hire.
• Associate degree in ENDT preferred; ABRET certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for EEG procedures, review history, and ensure comfort.
• Apply electrodes using the 10-20 system and monitor signal quality.
• Conduct EEG recordings including routine and ICU monitoring.
• Identify and document abnormalities in brain activity.
• Assist during long-term or emergent neurological monitoring.
• Maintain and troubleshoot EEG equipment; collaborate with physicians.
