Job summary

Driscoll Children's Hospital seeks an EEG Technician to assist neurologists with procedures in the EEG department and support patient care. You will perform exams, document findings, and maintain accurate filing while upholding confidentiality.

The role requires a High school diploma/GED and an R. EEG T certification, with CLTM preferred. You will also help manage supplies and equipment and participate in improvement activities within the department.

Qualifications

• R. EEG T certification is required.
• Experience with EEG procedures and handling patient reports.

Responsibilities

• Perform EEG exams and assist neurologists with procedures.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to hospital policies.
• Document exams and file reports.
• Manage inventory and keep equipment in good working order.
• Participate in department and hospital-wide process improvements.
• Assist the Chief EEG Technician as needed.

• Responsible for performing and/or assist the neurologists will all procedures performed in the EEG department.
• Maintain the utmost level of confidentiality at all times.
• Adhere to hospital policies and procedures.
• Demonstrate business practices and personal actions that are ethical and adhere to corporate compliance and integrity guidelines.
• Perform all exams in the EEG department.
• Document exams done in the department.
• Assist the Chief EEG Technician as necessary.
• Maintain an accurate filing system.
• Handle in-patient and out-patient reports and direct them to the appropriate destination.
• Maintain an adequate inventory of supplies.
• Maintain equipment in good working order.
• Participate in department and hospital-wide Process Improvement Activities.

Education, Experience: (required)

• High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED); or two (2) years related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must hold R. EEG T certification

License, Certification: (required)

• Registered Electroencephalographic Technologist (R. EEG T) Certification - Required
• Certified Long-Term Monitoring Technologist (CLTM) - Preferred
