Job summary

UF Health in Gainesville, FL is seeking a Neurodiagnostic Technician who performs neurodiagnostic procedures under supervision and advances to more complex studies as competencies grow. The role includes training to become a Technologist in all neurodiagnostic areas and completing ABRET credentialing within 18 months if not already held.

Qualifications

• High School graduate required.
• 2–4 years of college preferred but not required.
• CAHEEP approved ENT training program desirable.
• Must have at least one END modality registry (REEGT/REPT/RNCST/RPSGT).
• CLTM and/or CNIM desirable.
• Must be self-motivated and able to work independently; leadership when required.

Responsibilities

Overview

Performs Neurodiagnostic procedures, under the supervision of the Director, Lead Technologist and staff physicians. As advanced competencies are completed, the technician may perform more advanced procedures (Neonatal EEG, EP, ICU-LTM, GRIDS, WADA, NCV, EMG). This position trains to become a Technologist in all aspects of Neurodiagnostic procedures. Technicians hired into this position must complete the registry process off ABRET's R.EEG T. within 18 months of hire; if the credential was not already held.

Qualifications

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:High School graduate. 2 to 4 years' college preferred but not required. Graduation from a CAHEEP approve ENT training program highly desirable. If candidate does not have college then OJT position at a large hospital with demonstrated competencies may be considered as substitute for END program. Candidate must have at least one of the four END modality registries to be considered (REEGT, REPT, RNCST, RPSGT). CLTM and/or CNIM are highly desirable. Ideal candidate must be a highly self-motivated and able to work alone without direction. Candidate must also be capable of assuming a leadership role when required. C-LTM monitoring will be required to be obtained within 18 months after hire in order to maintain position for EMU work.Motor Vehicle Operator Designation:Employees in this position:Will not operate vehicles for an assigned business purposeNOTE: A frequent driver is defined as one who uses his/her personal or Shands automobile a) at least once daily, b) at least five individual trips per week or c) drives, on average, over 150 miles per week in the performance of his/her job.
