Qualifications

  • Minimum of one year of clinical healthcare experience.
  • Must complete the ASET LTM100 course within 30 days of hire.
  • Must obtain ABRET registry (R EEG T) within two years of hire.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Active BLS for Healthcare Providers.

Overview

Performs neurodiagnostic procedures under the direction of the Director of Neurodiagnostics and Medical Directors. Provides technical support for routine and specialized neurodiagnostic testing and assists with the instruction and training of students and junior staff as directed. As competencies are achieved, the EEG Technologist may perform advanced neurodiagnostic procedures, including but not limited to Neonatal EEG, Evoked Potentials (EP), Long-Term Monitoring (LTM), and Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU) studies, in accordance with departmental policies and scope of practice. The selected candidate is required to complete the ASET LTM100 course within (30) days of hire and must obtain ABRET registry (R. EEG T.) within two (2) years of hire, if not already credentialed.


Qualifications

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:Required Qualifications:Associate's degree required. Minimum of one (1) year of clinical healthcare experience required. Must complete the ASET LTM100 course within (30) days of hire. Must obtain ABRET registry (R EEG. T) within (2) years of hire. Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Must be highly self-motivated. Active BLS for Healthcare ProvidersPreferred Qualifications:Graduation from a CAAHEP-Accredited Associate's degree or certificate program in Neurodiagnostic Technology. Currently enrolled in a CAAHEP-accredited Neurodiagnostic Technology Program. Prior experience in a Neurodiagnostic, EEG, or Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU) setting.


Motor Vehicle Operator Designation:Employees in this position:Will not operate vehicles for an assigned business purposeNOTE: A frequent driver is defined as one who uses his/her personal or Shands automobile a) at least once daily, b) at least five individual trips per week or c) drives, on average, over 150 miles per week in the performance of his/her job. Please indicate the appropriate operator designation on the Request for Personnel (RFP) form at the time a RFP is submitted to post the position.
