Job summary

DHR Health in Edinburg, TX is seeking an EEG Technologist to perform, monitor, and analyze EEG tests, educate patients, and operate EEG equipment under the Neurosciences and Neurodiagnostics EEG Supervisor. This role requires English proficiency, potential bilingual capability, and the ability to cross-train across departments.

Responsibilities include maintaining patient safety, preparing patients, setting up the EEG machine, and documenting findings.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor's degree preferred.
  • One year of job training in a medical setting is preferred.
  • Ability to read, write and speak English; bilingual (English/Spanish preferred).
  • Willingness to be cross-trained to other areas; good organizational skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication; ability to interact with all levels of staff.

Responsibilities

  • Assist supervisor, lead person or director with administrative tasks.
  • Perform routine EEG testing and related procedures (EEG placements, sleep deprivation, etc.).
  • Monitor EEGs, identify abnormalities, document findings and report.
  • Maintain records of EEG appointments and use the Order Entry System.
  • CPR certified and maintain equipment hygiene; follow universal precautions.
  • Develop positive relations with department personnel and support others as assigned.
