Job summary

UofL Health is seeking an EEG Technician to perform high-quality electroencephalogram studies across hospital settings including EMU, ICU, and outpatient services. The role includes monitoring long-term EEGs, coordinating with healthcare teams, and assisting with administrative duties as needed.

The ideal candidate will have experience in EEG testing, be proficient with electrode placement, and maintain certifications, including CEUs and BLS.

Qualifications

• Maintains ongoing certification including required CEUs.
• BLS required.
• Bachelor’s degree in science or health related field preferred.
• Minimum of 6 months EEG experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess/prioritize daily workload and coordinate with peers to divide tasks.
• Measures head using the International 10/20 system and applies electrodes with proper medium.
• Monitors EEG and video data and notifies nursing staff/physicians of abnormalities.
• Completes documentation of studies per departmental policy and bills appropriately.
