Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Health Science or related field.
• No prior experience required; EEG/EMU lab preferred.
• Strong communication and patient service skills required.

Responsibilities

• Perform and maintain competency in EEGs and portable EEGs by applying electrodes and calibrating equipment.
• Prepare patients for exams, gather histories, and explain procedures clearly to patients and families.
• Perform procedures per lab standards and adjust controls for optimal recordings; use activations and montages as needed.
• Recognize artifacts and document or monitor them to ensure accurate recordings.
• Devise and standardize neurodiagnostic tests for clinical use.
• May assist in inpatient/outpatient clinics with NCS/EMG and in OR during stereo EEG implantation as needed.
