This position requires daily travel to patients' homes and clinical sites to deploy ambulatory and video EEG monitoring equipment, bringing Synthesys Brain Health's diagnostic services directly to the patients who need them.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform EEG procedures in accordance with Synthesys Brain Health policies and procedures, ensuring electrode application adheres to the International 10–20 SystemTravel daily to patients' homes and clinical sites to deploy and manage ambulatory and video EEG monitoring equipmentMaintain patient safety throughout clinical and non-clinical events, communicating with other patient care support staff as neededRecognize clinically significant events and follow company policy regarding critical test resultsCorrelate patient history and clinical symptoms to determine appropriate electrode application and recording parameters for conditions including seizure classification, stroke, trauma, encephalopathy, and altered consciousnessApply working knowledge of medication effects on EEG background and waveforms, medical terminology, and EEG correlates for adult and pediatric neurological, seizure, and psychiatric/psychological disordersFollow technical criteria for recording neonatal and pediatric EEGs, and recognize normal, normal variant, and abnormal awake/asleep patterns across age rangesCommunicate effectively with patients and staff, explaining the purpose of the EEG procedure and answering questionsIdentify and perform basic and intermediate technical troubleshooting and artifact identification/eliminationMaintain correct electrode connections and apply knowledge of alternate montages, protocols, and equipment settingsFollow concepts of digital equipment and electrical safety within the EEG unitPerform patient assessment related to care, including electrode fixation product allergies, movement restrictions, and cognitive functionComplete required technical EEG reporting and patient logging per Synthesys Brain Health policyPrepare and supply patient rooms/sites for EEG proceduresContact supervisory staff as appropriate regarding problems within the EEG unitContinue to learn and apply basic and intermediate EEG waveform recognition, relevant anatomy, physiology, infection control, current HIPAA practices, contraindications for activation procedures, and instrumentation preparationPerform other related duties consistent with patient and technical care for this levelCompensation & BenefitsThis role is available as Full-Time or Per Diem (PRN), with a pay range of $25.00 – $35.00 per hour, dependent on experience.For All Employees (Full-Time & PRN):Employee Assistance Program (EAP): Comprehensive mental health, financial guidance, and wellness support from day oneExclusive Full-Time (FTE) Benefits:Company Vehicle: No wear and tear on your personal car — a company car is provided for your daily field travelComprehensive Health Benefits: Robust medical, dental, and vision insurance packages.
