Job summary

Watts & Associates is seeking a 4+ year Electrical Engineering / Computer Science Patent Prosecution Associate or Agent in San Francisco, CA to join a premier AM Law 100 firm.

You will support and lead complex patent prosecution matters, analyze technical and legal issues, and draft filings, with increasing ownership and client interaction as you develop expertise in a broad IP practice.

Qualifications

• JD from a Top 50 U.S. law school.
• Admission to the California Bar in good standing.
• USPTO registration.
• Electrical Engineering or Computer Science technical degree.

Responsibilities

• Support and lead components of patent prosecution matters.
• Analyze technical, legal and commercial issues affecting client portfolios or disputes.
• Draft and review filings, correspondence, agreements or advocacy materials as relevant.
• Coordinate with clients, technical professionals and internal teams.
• Take increasing ownership of matters and client-facing workstreams.
