About this position

Assists with the development and delivery of a wide variety of emergency care training programs to several publics that include MDs and other health professionals, pre-hospital care providers, first responders and individuals in industry.

American Heart Associate instructor certifications are preferred but can be provided during training/onboarding. This position primarily delivers AHA education to internal and external customers. However, it is also heavily involved in teaching police and fire departments that partner with North Memorial ambulance. Travel may be required occasionally outside of the Twin Cities area, but this is not frequent.

Requirements

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required
  • Completion of an accredited Paramedic program preferred
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred in health care related field

Experience

  • 3 years full time equivalency experience in pre-hospital care/EMS/ER experience
  • 3 years' experience in education/training
  • Demonstrated education skills including curriculum/program design, facilitation skills and project management abilities.
  • Education or experience in curriculum design, program development, instruction and adult learning principles required.
  • Experience in accessing and using technology to support education processes.

Licensure/Certification

  • EMT-B minimum
  • BLS instructor
  • Valid Class D driver's license in state of residency with an acceptable driving record

Benefit Eligibility: Health insurance benefits are available for this position. North Memorial Health offers multiple health plans based on work group eligibility.

Salary Range: N18 ($29.14 - $43.72), based on experience

Shift Differential: Compensation may include shift differential pay depending on the position and shift worked.
