How You’ll Contribute

You’ll make an impact by utilizing your specialized plan‑of‑care intervention and serving as a patient‑care innovator. You will shape exceptional patient journeys every day and leverage your skills and our cutting‑edge technology to directly impact patient wellbeing.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for providing educational development of nursing and other clinical staff within Highpoint Health by providing staff development as an educator, facilitator, change agent, coordinator, and leader.
• Participate in the delivery of nursing staff orientation and education activities, including in‑services, mock events and new product roll‑outs.
• Deliver learning activities and curriculums related to clinical competencies, departmental/organizational policies, regulatory requirements, and the use of clinical information technologies, as designed by the director and competency manager.
• Serve as a consultant/mentor for staff in areas of program development, clinical practice, and professional development.
• Support the competency manager with competency review and submission.
• Assist with the Student Placement program, as assigned.
• Provide support by proctoring student exams, as needed.
• Support and coach employees needing assistance with completion of RQI mannequin check‑off.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing – required.
• 5 years clinical experience as an RN, preferably in an acute care setting with at least 3 years of training experience.
• BLS & ACLS certification from an approved AHA training center must be obtained within 6 months of employment.
• American Heart Association Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) instructor cards preferred.
• Licenses: TN or compact state RN licensure required.
