You’ll make an impact by utilizing your specialized plan‑of‑care intervention and serving as a patient‑care innovator. You will shape exceptional patient journeys every day and leverage your skills and our cutting‑edge technology to directly impact patient wellbeing.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for providing educational development of nursing and other clinical staff within Highpoint Health by providing staff development as an educator, facilitator, change agent, coordinator, and leader.
- Participate in the delivery of nursing staff orientation and education activities, including in‑services, mock events and new product roll‑outs.
- Deliver learning activities and curriculums related to clinical competencies, departmental/organizational policies, regulatory requirements, and the use of clinical information technologies, as designed by the director and competency manager.
- Serve as a consultant/mentor for staff in areas of program development, clinical practice, and professional development.
- Support the competency manager with competency review and submission.
- Assist with the Student Placement program, as assigned.
- Provide support by proctoring student exams, as needed.
- Support and coach employees needing assistance with completion of RQI mannequin check‑off.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing – required.
- 5 years clinical experience as an RN, preferably in an acute care setting with at least 3 years of training experience.
- BLS & ACLS certification from an approved AHA training center must be obtained within 6 months of employment.
- American Heart Association Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) instructor cards preferred.
- Licenses: TN or compact state RN licensure required.
