Job summary

ESC Region 11 in White Settlement, TX seeks a Certification Specialist to oversee comprehensive certification programs and support for teacher and principal candidates. You will recruit, train, and provide professional development to campuses, districts, and schools hosting interns and practicum students.

The role requires collaboration with ESC staff, strong organizational and coaching skills, and deep knowledge of Texas educator standards and LMS tools.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree and Texas teaching and administrator certifications required.
• Experience with certification programs and teacher training preferred.
• Knowledge of educator preparation standards and state guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Recruit and select candidates for certification programs.
• Develop training reflecting research and national/state initiatives.
• Deliver training sessions with the Certification Department.
• Plan and implement new initiatives/services in the Certification Department.
• Provide ongoing coaching and timely updates to candidates.
• Ensure candidates meet state certification requirements.
