Job summary

Arizona Department of Education is seeking a Certification Project Specialist in Phoenix. The role focuses on assisting applicants, IHEs, LEAs, and HR personnel via phone, email, and counter to interpret and respond to Educator Certification inquiries.

Occasional in-state travel may be required. The department offers a hybrid work environment with up to two remote days; applicants should be able to work in-office up to five days per week when needed.

Qualifications

• Experience communicating with diverse stakeholders via phone, email, and in-person.
• Knowledge of educator certification issues, state statutes, and AZ Dept. of Education policies.
• Strong customer service skills and ability to explain complex rules clearly.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain accurate records.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and respond to inquiries on Educator Certification issues.
• Process certifications, including issuing certificates and incomplete notifications.
• Handle incoming mail, funds verification, and file scanning for evaluation.
• Audit deposits and resolve NSF checks and refunds.
