Job summary

The Arizona Department of Education is seeking an ESS, Special Education Inclusion Specialist to plan, organize, and analyze statewide professional learning for educators serving students with disabilities. This role promotes High-Leverage Practices, Universal Design for Learning, and evidence-based instructional practices across Arizona schools.

The position involves coaching instructional staff, presenting at conferences, and supporting PEAs with data-driven improvement plans within a hybrid

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in education with specialization in special education, or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of IDEA/FAPE, LRE, MTSS, UDL, and evidence-based practices.
• Experience planning and delivering professional learning for educators.
• Ability to analyze data and use findings to drive improvement.
• Strong collaboration with general and special educators.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, coordinate statewide professional learning for teachers of students with disabilities.
• Promote High-Leverage Practices (HLPs) and Universal Design for Learning.
• Provide coaching and technical assistance to instructional coaches and school leaders.
• Represent the unit at state and national conferences as needed.
• Support PEAs with data-driven improvement plans and instructional practices.
• Apply adult learning theory and coaching models to sustain statewide improvement.
