Job summary

Daystar Academy in Chicago seeks a Technology Coordinator to lead the school’s technology program, oversee hardware, software, networks and cloud systems, and guide purchases aligned with the instructional technology plan. You will train staff, collaborate with administrators and teachers, manage inventory and budgets, and ensure reliable IT support for classrooms and school operations.

You will also help implement data security practices and support administrative workflows to improve learning

Qualifications

• Knowledge of computer hardware, software and peripherals.
• Experience setting up and maintaining LAN/WAN.
• Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
• Experience with installation, configuration, upgrades and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with staff to plan technology initiatives and budget.
• Support integration of technology in instructional programs across curriculum areas.
• Prepare and maintain records related to inventory, staff training, and purchases.
• Plan, develop, and deliver technology staff development activities.
• Install, configure, and upgrade operating systems and software.
• Direct installers for cable work and infrastructure changes.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, network, and peripheral issues and coordinate with providers.
