Job summary

Memphis Shelby County Schools is seeking a dedicated individual to manage a student computer lab and provide basic instruction. The role includes safe lab operation, equipment maintenance, and technical assistance to teachers.

The position requires coordinating labs, administering computerized tests, and performing routine clerical tasks while maintaining a welcoming, orderly environment for students and staff.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or 48 semester hours required.
• Passing score on the ParaPro Assessment Test required/preferred.
• One year of experience working with children in an educational setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate the computer lab for students' use; provide user support and assistance.
• Administer computerized testing as required.
• Ensure proper use, maintenance of computer equipment; order lab supplies and maintain inventory.
• Monitor computer performance; coordinate maintenance/repairs as needed.
• Coordinate special classes, programs, or projects as assigned.
• Perform routine clerical duties: typing, data entry, filing, emailing, answering calls.
• Respond to inquiries from school personnel, parents, and the public; attend trainings as appropriate.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
