Job summary

Charles County Public Schools seeks a dedicated computer lab assistant to support the elementary school curriculum through instructional technology. You will assist students daily, manage software in the lab, and collaborate with teachers on integrated activities.

The role requires an associate’s degree or 60 college credits, strong communication skills, and the ability to learn new software and hardware. Work is on-site in a busy lab environment supporting classroom instruction.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or 60 college credit hours required.
• Familiar with the Internet, Internet searching and using the Internet for instructional purposes.
• Ability to manage a computer lab environment.
• Good oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Works with students in the computer lab on a daily basis.
• Collaborates with teachers to implement instructional activities that support the curriculum.
• Attends training to learn and share integration activities for software and hardware.
• Sets up and manages all instructional software programs in the computer lab.
• Troubleshoots and maintains computer lab hardware.
• Assists with instructional technology support for teachers in the building.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the principal.
