Job description

The Educational Technology Integrator provides enthusiastic partnership in all areas of educational technology, with an emphasis on delivering a future-focused education characterized by innovation and a mindful approach to learning. Reporting directly to the Director of Technology, this person is an integral member of the 3-member Technology team and directly engages faculty in their implementation of educational technology, helping teachers grow their technical skills and expand their understanding of how technology can enhance learning and shape each student’s future.

Candidates must have a demonstrated record of supporting technology integration in an academic setting and a commitment to viewing curriculum, classroom, and school culture through a lens of equity and justice. A nurturing and caring personality is essential.

Responsibilities
Technology Integration
  • Maintain an active classroom presence to observe teaching practice, build relationships with faculty, and collaborate on lesson planning and technology integration across all grades
  • Mentor teachers in adopting purposeful technology integration strategies that advance innovative and differentiated teaching and learning
  • Collaborate with faculty to deepen curriculum alignment and expand technology integration across disciplines; lead ongoing development and implementation of the Digital Literacy Curriculum
  • Design and facilitate professional development workshops, training sessions, and hands‑on projects to support school-wide digital learning programs
  • Provide day‑to‑day support for faculty technology integration, including direct support of individual teachers and unique or stand‑alone academic programs, and troubleshooting for routine technological issues
  • Manage and promote effective use of all educational technology services, platforms, and subscriptions across the school community
  • Instruct students and support faculty in the use of academic technology, modeling and promoting current digital citizenship practices
  • Document and assess educational technology use to inform continuous improvement and share outcomes; maintain current software and hardware inventories
  • Research emerging technologies and tools to evaluate their potential impact on teaching and learning; engage in ongoing professional development through conferences, workshops, and self‑directed study
  • Work with the Director of Library Services to design long‑ and short‑range planning for curriculum and technology integration
Artificial Intelligence Literacy & Ethics
  • Evaluate and integrate AI systems and tools in alignment with institutional values of intentional, safe, ethical, and developmentally‑appropriate use
  • Guide employees and students in understanding the opportunities and limitations of AI tools in order to foster informed, critical, and responsible engagement
  • Maintain practical, hands‑on fluency with emerging AI tools and stay current with developments relevant to K‑8 education
  • In partnership with the Director of Technology, routinely revise and communicate school‑wide policies and frameworks for AI use that reflect Cathedral’s values
Innovation Lab
  • Develop and execute a vision for how the Innovation Lab can best be utilized across all grades to support and enhance the K‑8 curriculum
  • Proctor/teach a 30 min. Upper School elective (Grades 5‑8), twice per 6 day cycle
  • Co‑teach units of study in digital citizenship and coding with the Director of Library Services to support curricular needs and develop student digital literacy
  • Inventory and maintain all Innovation Lab materials, tools, and equipment, including hardware and software
  • Support faculty and students in the use of Makerspace technologies including laser cutters, 3D printers, elementary robotics platforms (including Lego and Ozobot), and related tools
Planning & Administration
  • In partnership with the Director of Technology, develop a strategic technology plan that reflects curriculum needs and informs the annual and long‑term academic technology budget
  • Help maintain an accurate catalog of EdTech resources, software, and digital subscriptions, in collaboration with Division Heads
  • Solicit regular feedback from faculty, staff, and students on classroom needs, existing systems and hardware, and new tools in order to provide ongoing opportunities for feedback, testing, and demonstration
  • Work on long‑term projects as assigned by the Director of Technology and collaborate with the full team during summer work
Qualifications
Required
  • Multiple years of experience in a Technology Integration Specialist or comparable role
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Demonstrated experience collaborating with teachers across disciplines to identify instructional needs and meaningfully integrate technology into curriculum
  • Practical AI literacy: hands‑on experience using, evaluating, and experimenting with AI tools in an educational context
  • Fluency with Mac and iOS operating systems and productivity suites, including Google Apps for Education, Microsoft Office, iMovie, and Canva
  • Comfort using, maintaining, and troubleshooting makerspace technologies such as 3D printers and laser engravers
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, plan and implement projects independently, and follow through with attention to detail
  • Creative problem‑solving to approach projects with flexibility and initiative
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with a broad range of people across various capacities and situations
  • Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in the access and use of technology for all students, teachers, and staff
  • Proven commitment to professional growth, including a willingness to learn new tools and technologies and incorporate feedback to continuously improve practice
Strongly Preferred
  • Knowledge and experience with programming, robotics, and coding in K‑8 contexts; candidates with a willingness to develop these skills will also be considered
  • Experience teaching students basic typing and foundational digital skills, or a demonstrated interest in developing this area of practice
  • Experience working with students and teachers across elementary and/or middle school grades
  • Familiarity with developing and executing a vision for makerspace or innovation lab programming

The Educational Technology Integrator is a 12‑month, full‑time, in‑person position with a start date of July 1, 2026. The salary range for this position is $80,000 - $95,000 based on experience.
