Description

RSU #73 is looking for a caring, compassionate, and patient individual who likes working with children to join the high school special education team in the resource program. Come join our Phoenix family as an education technician II, a full-time position at 30 hours per week. The resource program focuses on helping students who have a variety of disabilities such as autism, attention deficit disorder (ADD), anxiety, or other learning needs. Students in this program have a wide variety of academic and functional needs that must be addressed in ways that foster student development and growth. Successful candidates will work closely with the special education teacher and other staff members to address individual student needs in both the special education setting and regular education setting.

Qualifications

• Must be eligible for and apply for or have authorization as an Educational Technician II through the Maine Department of Education (MDOE). Please visit https://www.maine.gov/doe/cert for more information.

• Payscale for Ed Tech II’s is dependent on experience / step: Step 0 $22.17 / hr - Step 20+ $25.27 / hr
