Job summary

National Park Service, Lewis and Clark National Historic Trail, Interpretation division, seeks an Educational Technician to deliver engaging programs for diverse audiences at the park.

You will develop and present curriculum-based education programs, staff the Visitor Center, and support outreach while adhering to NPS policies and interpretation best practices.

Responsibilities

• Provides quality programming for diverse audiences.
• Presents programs aligned with NPS policy and uses interpretive techniques.
• Develops, researches, writes, and implements curriculum-based education programs on site, off site, and via distance learning.
• Designs, develops, updates education and outreach materials and maintains a schedule of programs for the Park unit.
• Staffs Visitor Center; provides visitor information, orientation, and interpretation.
• Assists with cooperating association sales and issues and sells interagency passes.

Major Duties

Some of the major duties you will perform include but are not limited to the following: Provides quality programming for diverse audiences. Presents programs in accordance with NPS policy and uses appropriate interpretive techniques. Develops, researches, writes, and implements on site, off site, and distance learning curriculum-based education programs relevant to the trail's interpretive themes and goals. Designs, develops, updates education and outreach material and maintains a schedule of programs for the Park unit. Staffs Visitor Center. Provides visitor information, orientation, and interpretation. Assists with cooperating association sales and issues and sells interagency passes.
