Responsibilities

• Independently performs various academic and instructional support activities as directed by the teacher; tutors students and reports on progress.
• Provides social, vocational, and daily living instruction to students with disabilities in school or community settings and reports progress.
• Performs counseling support activities, develops rapport, and carries out pre-approved activities to promote healthy self-concept and social skills.
• Provides articulation reinforcement lessons and repetitive drills under guidance of the speech pathologist; may receive related training.
