Cedar Island Elementary in Maple Grove, MN is seeking an Educational Support Professional (Instructional & Clerical) for a part-time role. You will assist teaching staff, support students' academic and social-emotional needs, and contribute to a positive classroom environment.

Job summary: To inspire and prepare each and every scholar with the confidence, courage and confidence to achieve their dreams, contribute to community, and engage in a lifetime of learning by assisting teaching staff and student with instructional support in the classroom.

Responsibilities and tasks include:

• Support the academic and social-emotional needs of students.
• Assist the Principal, School Counselors, and Instructional Assistants with social-emotional learning and behavior support to individual students.
• Supervise students in large group situations in classroom and other areas of the building or small groups.
• Work with students individually or in small groups instructionally.
• Assist in small group assessments and data management as it relates to student work in the areas of reading and math.
• Perform functions associated with classroom protocols.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Minimum qualifications include:
