This is a full-time, twelve month position, which reports to the Directors for the specific locations of Fulton, Clayton and Thomaston Upward Bound. The Education Specialist position is critical to ensuring the success of Upward Bound by coordinating activities and events pertinent to the academic realization of student participants. This position requires the Education Specialist to be on location at the specific High School three days a week and two days at AMSC in Atlanta. Weekly schedule subject to change to meet the needs of the program. Additionally, the position is responsible for fostering the development of positive relationships between AMSC and High School administration, faculty, staff and students.
Bachelor's degree in English, Education, Social Science, Mathematics, Science,
least two years experience in an educational setting working with low-income, first generation high school age youth. Applicants should be knowledgeable of scholarship searches, FAFSA requirements and college admissions procedures.
