Job summary

University of Hawaii at Hilo seeks an Educational Specialist (Program Coordinator, Community Partnership & Clinical Experiences) to lead teacher education field experiences and coordinate partnerships with schools and community partners. You will supervise field experiences, advise candidates, and collaborate across CAS and SOE to ensure accreditation readiness and program quality.

Qualifications

• Hold a bachelor degree and four (4) years of progressively responsible professional experience with responsibilities for program management in an educational setting.
• Experience in teacher education clinical experiences and program management.
• Knowledge of applicable federal and state laws, rules and theories related to teacher education.
• Ability to resolve complex problems with creative reasoning and timely solutions.
• Ability to interpret and present information clearly in writing and reports.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with internal and external organizations.
• Experience operating a personal computer and data management systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee student teaching field experiences of teacher candidates and provide one-to-one advising.
• Supervise and coordinate field supervision (faculty and contracted).
• Build and maintain relationships with partner schools and community partners to arrange field placements.
• Track and manage students in Airtable (data management system).
• Collaborate with SOE faculty and staff to improve program delivery.
• Provide data analysis for accreditation, reports, and internal use.
• Attend statewide workgroup meetings as assigned by the director.
