Job summary

Hood College seeks a Director of Educational Leadership who will provide strategic leadership and manage the Educational Leadership Program across online, hybrid, and partnership-based formats. The role includes recruiting, advising, and supporting candidates, and maintaining district partnerships to drive program growth.

The position also involves teaching four graduate courses annually, with an adjusted teaching load to support leadership duties.

Qualifications

• Experience working with diverse stakeholders including school system leaders, faculty, students, and community partners.
• Demonstrated leadership in educational program administration, supervision, and leadership.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall leadership, management, and strategic direction for the Educational Leadership Program.
• Develop and maintain partnerships with school districts, educational agencies, and community organizations to support program growth and candidate success.
• Coordinate program marketing, recruitment, information sessions, open houses, and outreach activities in collaboration with the Graduate School.
• Interview, admit, advise, and monitor candidates throughout their progression in the Educational Leadership Program.
• Develop course schedules and teaching assignments and oversee program delivery across instructional formats.
• Recruit, onboard, mentor, and evaluate adjunct faculty.
• Lead curriculum development, course revision, and continuous program improvement initiatives.
• Collect, analyze, and utilize assessment data to evaluate program effectiveness and support decision-making.
• Prepare reports and documentation required for accreditation, state approval, and program review processes, including CAEP, AAQEP, MSDE, and other regulatory agencies.
• Utilize institutional technology platforms for instruction, assessment, data collection, and program management.
