NLCP is seeking an Assistant Principal to support the Principal in daily operations and serve as a strong second-in-command.

The role focuses on improving scholar outcomes through rigorous data analysis, high expectations, and a culture where staff feel cared for and heard. The ideal candidate leads instructional excellence and aligns the instructional program with college readiness goals.

Qualifications

• Previous leadership experience in a school setting.
• Strong data literacy and ability to drive instructional improvements.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Staff Engagement: ensure deans, department chairs, and teachers feel heard and developed.
• Performance Management: establish clear roles, run ILT meetings, and monitor performance metrics.
• Instructional Visionary: implement NLCP's instruction philosophy and oversee curriculum development.
• Leadership Development: coach leaders and drive data-driven decision making.
• Instructional Coaching: provide regular coaching to instructors and teams.
• Professional Development: lead development to enhance instructional leadership.
• Data Management & Analysis: monitor mastery trackers and analyze results.
• Testing Coordination: support testing logistics and AP testing.
• Hiring: assist in recruiting instructional staff and leadership teams.
