Job summary

Candor Consulting & Diagnostics in Texas is seeking an Educational Diagnostician to assess students and advocate for needed resources. You will conduct psycho-educational evaluations and review findings with parents and district staff.

The role involves developing evidence-based interventions, collaborating with teams, and supporting ARD meetings to ensure appropriate services. A Master’s in Special Education and Texas certification are required.

Qualifications

• Education: Master’s degree from an accredited university in Special Education or equivalent.
• Certification: A current Texas Educational Diagnostician Certification.
• Experience: At least one year as an Educational Diagnostician.
• Skills: Proficiency in computer-based special education systems.
• Language Proficiency: Bilingual preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct Evaluations: Perform psycho-educational assessments to determine students’ eligibility and need for specialized services.
• Communicate Findings: Review evaluation findings with parents and district staff, providing clear and compassionate communication.
• Develop Interventions: Collaborate with teams to create evidence-based interventions that enhance student performance, participation, and access to education.
• Support Team: Participate in Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) meetings, parent conferences, and other relevant discussions to ensure special education programs meet every student’s needs effectively.
