Position Title:

Educational Audiologist

Reports To:

Director of Academic Support

Job Description:

This is a full-time, exempt, 199-day position. Responsibilities include:

  1. Developing and managing an audiological program addressing student needs, coordinating services, evaluating effectiveness, overseeing equipment and facilities, collaborating with staff, and preparing financial reports.
  2. Orienting new speech-language personnel and supervising professionals, interns (undergraduate and graduate), and clerical staff.
  3. Scheduling evaluations, administering diagnostic tests based on individual student needs, communicating effectively with students, families, and staff, gathering additional records, and providing diagnostic conclusions and recommendations.
  4. Leading and participating in community presentations to build and maintain educational and business partnerships.
  5. Supporting recruitment and placement of students for the Choices of Children early intervention and school-age programs.
  6. Conducting age-appropriate audiological testing for children (birth to 22) with hearing loss ranging from normal to profound.
  7. Assessing needs, fitting group or individual amplification, selecting appropriate technology, and evaluating its effectiveness.
Qualifications:

Doctor of Audiology degree and licensure from the PA Department of State Board of Examiners in Audiology.

Signing Requirements:

The Sign Language Proficiency Interview for this position is "Advanced." The minimum accepted level for hire is "Intermediate."

Clearances Required:

PA Criminal Background, PA Child Abuse, and FBI Clearances are required. Physical, TB, and Drug Screen are also required.
