Qualifications

ParaPro or ParaPathways credential approved by the Hawaii DOE.
At least 48 college credits from an accredited institution, including 3 credits in mathematics and 3 credits in English.
An associate degree or higher from an accredited institution recognized by the Department.

Responsibilities

Independently performs various academic and instruction-related support activities, tutoring students as directed by the teacher.
Provides social, vocational, and daily living instruction to students with disabilities in school or community settings.
Performs counseling support activities to develop rapport and support student progress.
Provides articulation reinforcement lessons and drills to correct speech sounds under guidance from the speech pathologist.
