Qualifications

• ParaPro/ParaPathways assessment or equivalent
• 48 baccalaureate-level credits including 3 math and 3 English
• Associate degree or higher recognized by the Hawaii DOE

Responsibilities

• Independently performs academic and instruction-related support activities; tutors students as directed by the teacher
• Provides social, vocational and daily living instruction to students with disabilities in school or community settings
• Performs counseling support activities; develops rapport with students and reports progress
• Provides articulation reinforcement lessons and drills to correct speech sounds under guidance of a speech pathologist
