Qualifications

• Graduation from high school or equivalent and one of the following: ParaPro or ParaPathways Assessment, or 48 college credits with math and English, or an associate degree or higher.
• Experience varies by level: EA I 0 years, EA II 1 year, EA III 1 year general experience and 1 year specialized experience.
• Specialized experience includes direct services to children or students in an educational setting.

Responsibilities

• Independently performs academic instruction‑related support activities and tutors students as directed by the teacher.
• Provides social, vocational, and daily living instruction to students with disabilities to enable independence.
• Carries out counseling support activities and helps develop healthy self‑concept and social skills.
• Provides articulation reinforcement lessons under the speech pathologist guidance.
